Sadness and Joy
Mission 3
Did you know that January 21 is International Hug Day? Volunteers take to the streets to hug people they don’t know at all.
Andy Stalman, a world leader in branding, proposes eight six-second hugs in his book “Humanoffon.”
“We check our cell phones at least 230 times a day, and Facebook, Messenger, and WhatsApp handle 60 billion messages every day.
If we spend an average of thirty hours a week checking and reviewing emails, let’s use at least 48 seconds a day to hug. Hugging defines us as human beings.”
An interesting experience is to hug someone you trust and hold that hug for at least 15 seconds.
Allow yourself to share your joy and try to convey it to the person you are hugging.
We suggest you try this and then write down in your notebook how you felt.
