Fear and Confidence

Mission 1

Life is movement, growth, and expansion.

If you look at nature, you will see that life perseveres even in the most adverse circumstances.

Human beings, like other animals, are perfectly equipped to adapt to almost anything… we just need to believe it and do it.

After your visit to the land of fear, you may have acquired some tools to deal with your own fears (yes, they can be very varied).

You take your plane and jump to the land of confidence.

Before you start walking, remember that where there is fear, there is no confidence, and conversely, where there is confidence, fear disappears.

We always imagine the realm of trust as something very beautiful, and it is! It is a place full of opportunities that can help us give the best of ourselves.

But what does it look like?

On your journey, you come to a small village with only three houses: one yellow, one red, and one blue.

This is the house of self-confidence. Only if you live inside it will you be able to trust others and life itself.
A confident person:
• Feels secure in their gifts.
• Knows that trusting involves risks, as it means relinquishing control.
• Believes in their own commitment and that of others.

Stop for a moment and write down in your logbook:
What is my level of self-confidence? (from 1 to 10)
To open the door, I need a five-word password. What are those words of self-confidence for me?
Confidence begins with initial security (parents, guardians), but we have to develop our personal autonomy. To what extent do I rely on external security? What can I do to stop looking for security outside myself?

This is the house of trust in others.
Trust is like a lubricant for the entire social system.
You trust leaders (sometimes), you trust the bus driver, you trust doctors…
Stop for a moment and write in your journal:
What characteristics do I think a person must have for me to trust them?
(You can think of one or more people you trust most right now and observe what makes you trust them).

This is the house of trust in life.
As we said before, life is movement, expansion… and that means impermanence. Everything is constantly changing.
Trusting in life is a leap of faith, knowing that circumstances are sometimes beyond our control and that we have to trust that everything happens for a reason we don’t know.
Stop for a moment and look at this scene from a movie you’re sure to recognize.
Write in your notebook what taking a leap of faith means to you.

DO YOU KNOW THE OBJECTIVES OF THE 2030 AGENDA?

DO YOU BELIEVE ALL OR SOME OF THEM WILL BE ACHIEVED?

CHOOSE ONE OF THE OBJECTIVES RELATED TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND THINK OF SOMETHING YOU CAN DO TO HELP SUSTAIN THE PLANET.

DO IT WITH CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF AND IN YOUR ABILITY TO COME UP WITH BRILLIANT IDEAS AND CARRY THEM OUT.

ONCE YOU HAVE DONE SO, SUGGEST TO YOUR FRIENDS THAT THEY TAKE THE CORRESPONDING ACTION.
