Anger and Serenity
Mission 7
You bid farewell to the realm of anger and continue walking.
You enter another land where everything smells better, and you feel great pleasure. It is a sensation you have experienced before in specific situations…
…and one that we all want to achieve and know the secret to attaining and experiencing throughout our lives.
WHERE AM I?
THE LAND OF HAPPINESS!!
Watch your step!
Pretending to be happy all the time is nothing more than an idealization and has no basis in reality.
It is very important to know that happiness is not an emotional state. Rather, it is a way of life.

If you stop to think about it, our lives are a series of peaks of joy.
For example, one day we buy a cell phone, but as soon as we have it, we are no longer excited about it and need to buy something else.
Thus, we become attached to material things, experiences that give us a “high” and then leave us feeling empty.
In the territory of serenity, you can feel that you are at home, because in it it is easier for the anxiety to get or have external things to disappear.
Serenity speaks to us of acceptance, of not resisting change, of being grateful and, in addition, it provides us with enormous mental clarity
Serenity is a state that is achieved by practicing it, observing what emotions and attitudes I am attached to and for which I feel rejection.
The poem by the sixteenth-century philosopher Rumi explains it very well:
The guest house
Human beings are guest houses.
Every morning a new tenant arrives.
Happiness, depression, evil—
At any moment, consciousness arrives
like an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and honor them all!
Even if they are a multitude of sorrows
That sweep your house abruptly empty of its furniture.
Even so, treat each guest honorably.
Perhaps they want to clear you for some new delight.
Dark thoughts, shame, malice,
Go to your door to greet them, laughing, and invite them in.
Thank them all for coming,
Because each one of them has been sent to you
As a guide from beyond.
Serenity leads you to a very special connection with yourself mism@ in which you can recognize yourself as you are, taking away the importance of what happens outside, the expectations and opinions of others.
How you are inside has tremendous implications for what surrounds you: your family, friends, people at work,…
And also about the environment.
Your attachments and rejections have a huge impact on the environment:
Unconscious and compulsive consumption destroys nature.
If you are consumed by anger or sadness, it is difficult to pay attention to how you manage waste.
Using your car instead of public transportation produces more emissions.
Leaving appliances plugged in without using them consumes electricity unnecessarily.
Using heating or air conditioning without moderation is wasteful.
Spending more than 5 minutes in the shower or not turning off the taps properly is a waste of water.
FROM THE LIST ABOVE, WRITE DOWN IN YOUR NOTEBOOK THE ACTIONS YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN CHANGE.
SPEND ONE OR TWO DAYS ON EACH ONE AND OBSERVE WHETHER DOING SO GIVES YOU PEACE OF MIND OR NOT.
IT IS NOT ABOUT JUDGING YOURSELF, JUST OBSERVING YOURSELF.
