Fear and Confidence
Mission 1
On your journey through the territory of trust you will meet very interesting people. You may identify with some of them!
Remember that you don’t have to stay in these territories forever. What’s more, it’s best to get to know them and leave once you’ve learned what you need.
You are entering a very dangerous area. There has been a war and what is left now is a prison camp where you find those people who have been tied to their beliefs, their prejudices and those experiences of the past from which they have not learned.
The approaches that these people constantly ask themselves are:
Why is he talking to me?
Can I trust it?
The world is a dangerous jungle
If I’m not alert and confident, they’re going to hurt me
Do you identify? Do you identify someone around you?
You leave the dangerous zone and enter a wonderful beach of white sand, extensive, where you can breathe joy and communication.
Don’t be fooled! It is full of people who believe that they have to constantly explain themselves.
Do you know someone who…
- … opens your life to strangers? (e.g. on the bus)
- … is constantly exhibited on social networks?
Write down in your notebook what this makes you feel.
Trust is a very fragile emotion. It only takes a bad look, an inopportune comment or an argument for us to feel insecure and want to return to the safe zone of the territory of fear. Confidence lies in knowing that you have enough strengths to overcome the difficulties that life is going to throw at you.
One of the tools you can use to maintain a minimum threshold of trust is to not label yourself and not to label the person or circumstance that makes you feel helpless.
PREPARE A GAME WITH YOUR AMIG@S, CLASSMATES, OR FAMILY MEMBERS IN WHICH EACH UN@ IS GOING TO PUT A PIECE OF PAPER INSIDE A BALLOON WITH A QUALITY OR WEAKNESS THAT THEY FEEL THEY HAVE.
YOU CAN FILL AS MANY BALLOONS AS YOU WANT. YOU SWELL THEM AND MIX THEM UP AND LEAVE THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM WHERE YOU ARE.
EACH JUGADOR@ HE CLICKS THE BALLOONS HE WANTS AND KEEPS THE LABELS. THEN YOU TRY TO FIND OUT WHO THE AUTHOR OF EACH ONE IS. WHOEVER GETS IT RIGHT WINS THE MOST.
